Perú: Siete muertos en accidente de helicóptero
LIMA Cinco ciudadanos estadounidenses y dos peruanos murieron al precipitarse a tierra el helicóptero en el que viajaban a través de la selva de Perú, confirmaron el martes autoridades.
El accidente ocurrió en la vÃspera minutos después que la aeronave, propiedad de la compañÃa estadounidense Columbia Helicopters, con sede en Portland, Oregon, despegara del aer <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> opuerto de la ciudad de Pucallpa, a 490 kilómetros al este de Lima, con destino a la ciudad de Tarapoto.
El vicepresidente de C <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> olumbia Helicopters, Peter Lance, confirmó las muertes y dijo a la AP que cinco de los fallecidos eran empleados estadounidenses de la compañÃa. Declinó brindar mayor información.
El accidente se produjo al parecer por fallas mecánicas que provocaron un estallido en el aire, según versiones de testigos, dijo a la AP el comandante Miguel Cardoso, jefe de la comisarÃa de Yarina.
Precisó que que se han recuperado de momento tres cuerpos, y que se supone que los cuatro faltantes se encuentran entre los escombros de la aeronave. "El helicóptero ha quedado destrozado e incinerado to <a href={url}>{keyword}</a>talmente", señaló.
Agregó que los cuerpos recuperados aún no han sido identificados y que presentaban múltiples fracturas, lo que hace presuponer que, en su desesperación, esas personas "se han tirado del helicóptero".
